Back To School Carpool Parking

Save Money This School Year By Setting Up A Carpool

There are many ways to save money when it comes to your children’s schooling, and one way that is often overlooked is carpooling. Regardless if the school your children attend is a far distance from where you live or relatively close, sharing the efforts with neighbors and/or friends can definitely help you out.

The benefits don’t only come only in the form of money, but also time. How long does it take you to take your kids to school every day and pick them up? Additionally, when school starts, so do all the after-school and weekend activities. If you plan on driving to all of these functions you are going to spend more money on gas than usual, and so are other parents who are doing the same activities.

Share the burden and save some dough on carpooling this school year. Here’s some helpful tips on how you can get involved in carpooling and the benefits you’ll see in return: Continue reading…

Be prepared for emergencies with a savings fund.

Saving For More Than Just A Rainy Day

Many consumers consider an emergency fund to be a luxury account that requires a great deal of income to manage, but this is not the case. Emergency funds are extremely important, and every American should be saving to create one, but unfortunately not enough are doing so.

There is no question saving money for an unplanned emergency is not at the front of most consumers’ minds, but that trend needs to be turned around, as noted by Greg McBride, chief financial analyst for Bankrate.

“These results are further evidence that Americans remain woefully under-saved for unplanned expenses and rather than progressing, are moving in the wrong direction,” McBride said. “Nothing helps you sleep better at night than knowing you have money tucked away for a rainy day.” Continue reading…

According to Lonely Planet, a travel guide book publisher, this northwest winding road was finished in 1915, was part of the Oregon Trail and served as the last leg in Lewis and Clark’s expedition. And if history isn’t enough, it is flanked with flowing waterfalls, magnificent views and fields of wildflowers. If you are in the northwest, this is one scenic route you can’t afford to miss.
