The Top 4 Mythical Vehicles of All Time

No matter how much we love our cars, riding around in them is a pretty normal experience. Let’s face it, their unimaginative paint jobs, easy-to-use doors and windows and lack of creativity don’t do them any favors. In fact, it’s hard to tell one Honda Civic or Toyota Prius from the next. And, whether you want to admit it or not, I think we would all ride around in something more dangerous and exciting from time to time if only we had the chance.

To help you find this thrill, we created this list of mythical vehicles that anyone would love to ride. Are you ready? Let’s go!

The De Lorean

The De Lorean time machine from “Back to the Future” is not only dead-sexy, but can also make your dreams come true. Want to see your 1980s spiral perm and claw bangs again? Take the De Lorean back in time. Or, do you want to exact revenge on your high school bully? Do it, but be careful. You don’t want to cause a butterfly effect, OK?

Hogwarts Express

All aboard! The Hogwarts Express is a magical train that carries students to Hogsmeade Station, near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If you always wanted to be a classmate of Harry Potter and learn a little magic, this is the mode of transportation for you. Just be sure to get through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross Station in London.

Falkor the Luckdragon

In “The NeverEnding Story,” Falkor the Luckdragon saves Atreyu and helps him find a cure for the Childlike Empress. But that’s not all. He also takes a little boy through New York City in order to scare the bejeezus out of a few bratty bullies. I don’t know about you, but I can think of a few people I would love to fly by on a giant dragon simply for shock value.

Santa’s Sleigh

Obviously, everyone wants to ride on Santa’s Sleigh for their own reasons. For some, it might be to get their hands on a Nintendo Wii bundle while Santa’s not looking, but for others, it might be so they can finally figure out how Santa gets to millions of houses in one single night. For me, it would only be about spending some time with someone who is just as mysterious as Elvis and as notorious as Tupac. An autograph would be nice too. A girl can dream, right?

I hope these four mythical rides gave you the thrill you needed to break the monotony of everyday life. After all, we all need to change things up every once in a while. So, when you’re bored with your normal ride, pick a vehicle and travel through space, time and realms. Bon voyage!

Wrong. Thank you for playing. TARDIS trumps DeLorean any day of the week (and it can be any day you like.)
